Why use email address? This will also be your account name. You will use this email address to sign on to your website to administer your cookbook or to add/edit recipes. You will also use it to view recipes if your cookbook is made private. You will also recieve Administrator notifications to this email address. It's probably easier for you to remember your email address than some random name you make up, and it's (much) less likely to conflict with someone else's username. Don't worry, your email address won't be shown to other users.
